Famous for their ancient passion for the thermal baths, the Romans discovered that there were in this country many sulfurous water springs, that they used to feed the various thermal plants. Even today the acting thermal baths are: Terme del Petriolo, Terme di Saturnia, Terme di Monterotondo Marittimo, in the middle of a chestnut grove, Terme di Acqua Forte di Bagnore di Santa Fiora (ozonized mineral water for hydrotherapy).
